Question:What are one of the reasons why they use actors in Jerry Springer or in other talk shows such as Maury?
Answer: They try to portray the working class as trashy, having trouble in their sex life, low income families, etc. For example, The Jerry Springer Show intro shows a TV on top of a trash can. In the beginning of that show, the majority of the ethnicity was mainly white. Til this day, people believed that that was the show that created the racial slur “white trash.”
